NCT 127, Releasing Repackaged First Regular Album ‘NCT #127 Regulate’ on November 23rd!
With Three Additional Songs Including Title Song, ‘Simon Says’!
‘K-POP Sensation’ NCT 127 (SM Entertainment) is coming back with the repackaged first regular album, ‘NCT #127 Regulate’, on November 23rd.
This album contains 14 songs including three additional songs to the eleven songs that were listed in the first regular album and the name of the album, ‘Regulate’, carries dual meanings as it criticizes the ‘regulated’ society and also states that ‘regulation’ through the restoration of self is required in order to get out of regulation, which raises more expectation for the music to be presented by NCT 127.
With ‘NCT #127 Regular-Irregular’, their first regular album released in October, NCT 127 landed at No. 86 on the ‘Billboard 200’ which is the main album chart of America’s Billboard and also won enormous responses from fans to land at No. 1 on iTunes charts in 22 regions around the world, No. 1 on Korean Music Chart of China’s Xiami Music, No. 1 on Gaon Monthly Album Chart for October, and No. 1 on four music programs. The repackaged album is also expected to continue the stream of popularity.
Title Song, ‘Simon Says’, Filled with Intense Hip Hop Charisma!
The title song, ‘Simon Says’, is an urban hip-hop song that features a heavy bass riff and sharp synth sounds, presenting NCT 127’s powerful charisma and charms. The lyrics compared how people in the modern day try to act according to other people’s expectations and social conventions to the game of ‘Simon Says’ in which participants must do as they were told to send a message about recovering an identity that was lost and finding a true self.
Another new song, ‘Welcome To My Playground’, is an electro pop song created through the collaboration between famous producers and singer-songwriters, Ra.D and Brother Su, and popular lyricist Seo Ji-eum and members TAEYONG and MARK also participated in rap-making to express their wish to jump and play on stage with the fans through the lyrics. The Korean version of ‘Chain’, NCT 127’s Japanese debut title song, was additionally listed in the album to win great responses from fans.
