Presenting Different Music Style + Colorful Charms as the ‘All-Rounder Queen’!
The ‘All-rounder Queen,’ Red Velvet’s SEULGI (SM Entertainment), is debuting as a solo artist with her first mini album, ’28 Reasons’, on October 4th.
SEULGI’s first solo album ’28 Reasons’ delivers six songs in various moods, including the single of the same title, ’28 Reasons’ which shows SEULGI’s unique music style and unlimited ability to take in various concepts.
As a member of Red Velvet, SEULGI has presented her charming vocal tone, excellent singing skills, peerless performance, and broad musical spectrum through a variety of unit projects such as Red Velvet-IRENE&SEULGI and GOT the beat, as well as collaborations and original soundtracks, and proved herself as the ‘all-rounder queen.’ The new images she will present through this album raise further expectations.
Single, ’28 Reasons,’ Highly Immersive Pop Dance Number! Captures Good and Evil, Standing Side by Side before Love!
The single, ’28 Reasons,’ is a pop dance number that features signature sounds comprising groovy, heavy bass and the whistle. SEULGI’s vocal control intensely draws the listeners. The lyrics depict a mischievous character who is both good and evil for having a pure interest in the person she likes, questioning myriads of reasons regarding the relationship.
‘Dead Man Runnin’’ is an R&B pop dance song that arouses a sense of tension with energetic drums, synth sound, and magnificent bass drop with SEULGI’s clear and powerful vocals. The lyrics, that SEULGI wrote for the first time since her debut, send a warning to those who hurt her in the past, and vividly capture the insecurity from that wound.
‘Bad Boy, Sad Girl’ is a lovely medium-tempo R&B song where the cheerful tone of the piano is mixed with sweet, relaxed vocals. Rapper BE’O participated in the rap making and featured the song. The cute, witty lyrics describe the hidden emotions of a couple, sleepless in the feeling of love.
The album also includes ‘Anywhere But Home,’ a disco-style R&B pop dance song that depicts a ride to an unfamiliar place on a sleepless night, ‘Los Angeles,’ an EDM pop dance song featuring a bold techno style drop and the lyrics expressing the excitement for a new dream she will pursue, and ‘Crown,’ an R&B pop dance song with lyrics that capture the gaze of the absolute who ascended to the throne and controlled vocals that overwhelm listeners. All six songs will captivate music fans with unique charms.
